Black bears can be found throughout the US and are common residents in many national parks. These black bears were photographed in Yellowstone National Park. While black bears do not have the fearsome reputation of the grizzly, all species of bears should be photographed from a distance using a long telephoto lens. Black bears, despite their name, can come in a variety of colors, including black, brown, cinnamon, chocolate, blonde, and white.
