"Peaks and Bison"

Since I'm still looking for some of the more "sexy" wildlife and I think I'm one of a few folks who still haven't seen a bear yet, I thought I'd stick with my current theme of animals and mountains. In fairness, I rarely have much luck finding bears in April, only having a few sightings in this month each year. While the light isn't quite as nice in this image as with the last two moose photos I've shared, I thought this bull bison grazing alone in Elk Park, south of Norris Geyser Basin, with Mount Sheridan as a backdrop made for a nice image in it's own right. Beautiful, warm weather continues to be the trend right now, so it won't take long for these meadows to turn green. But it we don't get some much needed moisture soon, they won't stay green for long.
