Photo of the Week- "406"

Too often I see an online article, usually by a travel blog, talking about Montana and the feature photo is from Yellowstone or Grand Teton National Parks in Wyoming. It surprises me because, in my biased opinion, Montana has some of the most beautiful mountain scenery around. From the peaks of Glacier National Park to the little known areas all along the western part of the state, Montana's mountains are beautiful. The name Montana is the Spanish word for mountain. On the morning I took this photo, a front was moving in bringing more snow to the area but we were able to get a glimpse of beautiful light on this peak above Cabin Creek. Coming up with compositions was tough since the creek was frozen and snow covered but the light made this simple composition work nicely. And "406", that's the area code for Montana, the last best place.
