From the Backyard

I didn't spend much time in Yellowstone this summer. In fact, that's pretty much an understatement. I spent almost no time in Yellowstone this summer. Between a book project, which I'll announce shortly, and our new baby, I was rarely in the park. When I did photograph, it was either for the new book or it was in our backyard. This red squirrel is a regular and he/she likes to eat pine cones on the fence near our deck. When I was out there with my camera one morning, I got an ear full for being on his/her turf! But actually, my goal was to photograph some of the backyard birds such as the mountain chickadee, below.
