Yellowstone Roads Close for the Season
November 05, 2017 • Leave a Comment
Today is the last full day the roads in Yellowstone will be open for this season. Tomorrow morning at 8 am all roads will close with the exception of the road between Mammoth Hot Springs and Cooke City, Montana. I had hoped to drive in and get some nice snow photos, like this one taken on closing day 2013. But a winter storm throughout much of the region has kept the park roads closed for the last several days already. Not to mention, I've been struggling with a sinus infection that has kept me laid up. Park roads will re-open in mid December to oversnow vehicles for the winter season.
