Photo of the Week- "Winter"

The setting sun paints the sky above a mountain landscape. Elk find meager forage on the windswept hills below. This is Yellowstone in February. More snow is in the forecast for the next several days but the winter snowpack holds the water that will bring new life in the spring. Away from the concrete and urban sprawl of our cities, the national parks and forests preserve nature on it's own terms. This is a treasure to which no value can ever be placed because there is nothing of monetary value with such importance.
