Photo of the Week- "Easter Flowers"

Admittedly, I don't do as much macro photography as I used to do, but I still enjoy it and when I find a great subject, the macro lens comes out. I always like the soft, out of focus look of macro work and pasque flowers lend themselves to this look perfectly since they're covered in hairs which make them look soft and out of focus anyway. Pasque flowers come in many varieties depending on where and when they're found and they have as many differing names including prairie crocus and easter flower. I'm partial to easter flower, a name they were given since they usually bloom around Easter. These were found a few days ago while I was out in eastern Montana. Happy Easter!
