A Few More Winter Birds

Here's a couple more images of the birds local to the area. Above, a red crossbill launches off the top of a spruce while below a mountain chickadee fluffs it's feathers to trap air so it can keep warm on a -25°F morning. All wild animals are highly adaptive to the weather extremes they must face and birds are no different.
